Who Are We?

New Zealand Property Investors' Federation, (NZPIF) is the umbrella body for 17 local Property Investors' Associations throughout New Zealand and was established in 1985.

Each Association is an independent autonomous body in its own right. Their purpose is to enable property investors to network together, become more professional and therefore more successful in their property investments.

NZPIF maintains a political lobbyist, as residential rental properties are governed by the Residential Tenancies Act, 1986 and cannot be contracted out of. In negotiations with Government, as a New Zealand body, we have more influence than a single local Association would have.

A Code of Ethics has been developed through the combined input of the NZPIF and affiliated Property Investors' Associations throughout New Zealand.  It is a formal statement of the principles to be upheld rather than information about how to handle specific situations.  The primary purpose of the Code is to inspire and promote high standards among PIA members through defining good and ethical behavioiur in the provision of rental property.

NZPIF has a insurance scheme especially structured for rental properties available at discounted rates to financial Association members.

NZPIF has also established a nation wide discount card for goods and services to benefit property investors.

NZPIF has established this website to enable communication of ideas, information etc. between Association members from all over New Zealand, as against just networking with members in their local area.

NZPIF arranges educational seminars, forums, annual conferences on property investment topics.

NZPIF has for sale, through the local Associations a rental agreement form approved by Tenancy Services, Tenant organisations and ourselves.
