Whangarei MP Phil Heatley has gained another portfolio for the new Parliamentary term.
Mr Heatley is now housing spokesman for the National Party and has retained his position as associate spokesman for energy and fisheries.
The announcement was made by party leader Don Brash last week as he unveiled his party's new lineup to attack the government.
Mr Heatley says he is delighted with his new responsibilities and the opportunities it will offer.
