The New Zealand Mortgage Brokers Association named its top brokers for 2007 at its annual conference in Rotorua on the weekend.
The winner of the NZMBA Broker of the Year 2007 was Suzie Oliver (pictured) of MONEYTREE brokers. NZMBA chief executive Megan Salt said that the judges were very impressed with Suzie's all round professional abilities, relationship skills and industry knowledge.
"It was clear from the high standard of material submitted that Suzie and her partner in MONEYTREE brokers, Michelle Brebner, had spent considerable time and effort on streamlining and perfecting their firm's processes and client relationship management systems."
The NZMBA Broker of the Year rewards excellence, quality, client care, innovation and leadership in the industry across the different sectors. Some 30 finalists are chosen from more than 1000 NZMBA members.
Brokers have to be nominated by lenders who are asked to nominate and score the two top brokers in nine regions and the specialist lender broker of the year category. The scoring was completed by lenders against a range of criteria Finalists were asked to present their client relationship management processes, with examples, including how clients are sourced, their needs assessed, marketing, and retention process.
As well finalists were asked to support three drawn down home loan applications from the July period.
The NZMBA reviewed their loan application process to ensure quality professional advice was provided and that NZMBA standards as promoted by the association's "Credible Application" course were met.
